Today we celebrate the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉

From September 15 through October 15, we honor the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic communities whose stories continue to enrich our classrooms and our nation.

At Dreaming Big, we celebrate the beautiful cultures represented within our school family while reminding our students that our differences can bring us together. ❤️

Yesterday, history came to life beyond the pages of a textbook.

Our students learned about the events of September 11, 2001, but more importantly, they learned about the real people, courage, sacrifice, unity, and hope behind this moment in history.

Through our “We Remember” activity, students reflected on what they learned and why it is important to honor those who lost their lives and the heroes who stepped forward to serve others.

Because history is more than memorizing dates and names. It is about understanding the stories of real people, learning from the past, and making sure their stories are never forgotten.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Ayer, la historia cobró vida más allá de las páginas de un libro.

Nuestros estudiantes aprendieron sobre los acontecimientos del 11 de septiembre de 2001, pero, aún más importante, conocieron las historias reales de valentía, sacrificio, unidad y esperanza que marcaron este momento de nuestra historia.

A través de nuestra actividad “We Remember”, los estudiantes reflexionaron sobre lo aprendido y sobre la importancia de honrar a quienes perdieron sus vidas y a los héroes que dieron un paso al frente para servir a los demás.

Porque aprender historia es mucho más que memorizar fechas y nombres. Es comprender las historias de personas reales, aprender del pasado y asegurarnos de que sus historias nunca sean olvidadas.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the courage of the first responders and everyday heroes who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy. 🇺🇸

At Dreaming Big Learning Center & Christian School, we believe it is important to teach the next generation not only about our history, but also about compassion, courage, service, and the power of standing together during difficult times.

May we honor their memory by choosing kindness, serving one another, and praying for peace in our communities and throughout the world.

Today we celebrate the hard work and contributions of American workers who have helped build and strengthen our communities. Labor Day is also a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the value of hard work, dedication, and service to others.

Through this meaningful activity, they explored family, heritage, identity, and the special connections that help shape who we are. 🌳📸

🎨 We learn better when we learn together!

Our Kindergarten students explored primary and secondary colors through hands on activities, discovering how new colors come to life when they are mixed.

What made this experience even more special was having our 7th grade students alongside them, helping and encouraging our younger learners throughout the creative process. 💙

At Dreaming Big, we believe learning goes beyond the lesson. It happens when students collaborate, create, explore, and share what they know with one another.

Nuestros estudiantes de Kindergarten exploraron los colores primarios y secundarios a través de actividades prácticas, descubriendo cómo nuevos colores cobran vida al mezclarlos.

Lo que hizo esta experiencia aún más especial fue contar con nuestros estudiantes de 7mo grado, quienes ayudaron y motivaron a los más pequeños durante todo el proceso creativo. 💙

At Dreaming Big, learning goes beyond books and worksheets. We believe in giving our students hands-on experiences that help them develop skills they can use both in the classroom and in everyday life.

Through this fun shoe-lacing activity, our students practiced fine motor skills, creativity, problem-solving, concentration, and independence all while learning through doing. 🧠✋✨

Because real experiences create meaningful learning, and even a simple activity can become an opportunity to think, create, practice, and grow. 💙
