Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines, showing up for a school event, or just want your Warrior to represent Westside K-8 on a regular Tuesday, we’ve got you covered.

Our Westside K-8 Spirit Shirts are available to order online, with options for students and the grown-ups who are just as proud to be Warriors.

Even better—no pickup needed! Shirts will be delivered directly to your student at school. Most orders will be delivered by the end of the next school day, though some orders may require an additional school day for delivery.

Ever wonder what decisions are being made at school—and how you can have a voice in them? Or maybe you’d like to know what the PTSO is planning and how you can help make this school year even better for our Warriors. ❤️💛

Come join us on August 20th at 5:30 PM in the Media Center for our first SAC/PTSO Meeting of the year!

🏫 At the SAC meeting, you’ll hear about the school side of things—student achievement, school goals, improvement initiatives, and other topics that impact our students and families. SAC is a place for families, staff, and community members to have a voice in helping shape our school.

❤️ At the PTSO meeting, we’ll focus on building school community—upcoming events, activities, fundraisers, teacher and student support, volunteer opportunities, and all the fun ways we can make Westside an even better place to learn and grow.

You don’t have to hold a position, sign up for anything, or even know what SAC or PTSO stands for to attend. 😉 Just come, listen, ask questions, share an idea—or simply find out what’s happening at your child’s school.

Our school is stronger when more voices are part of the conversation. We’d love to have yours there! ❤️💛

🎉 The countdown to a brand new school year is on, Warriors! 🎉

We can't wait to welcome everyone back to Westside K-8, and we've got two great opportunities this week to help your family get ready for an amazing year!

❤️ Wednesday, August 5 – Meet the PTSO & Meet the Principal

Start the year by getting to know the people who help make our school community so special! Join us for a relaxed meet-and-greet with our Principal and your PTSO. Enjoy light refreshments, ask questions, learn how you can get involved, and meet other Westside families.

☀️ Morning Session: 8:00–9:00 AM
🌙 Afternoon Session: 4:00–5:00 PM

Come to whichever time works best for your family—or stop by both! Everyone is welcome, and we'd love to meet you.

📚 Thursday, August 6 – Meet the Teacher/Open House
3:30–5:30 PM

It's time to kick off the school year! Meet your teachers, pick up student schedules and IDs, get transportation information, take school photos (for new students), connect with school resources, and explore the campus before the first day of school.

Whether you're joining Westside for the first time or returning for another great year, this is a wonderful opportunity to get prepared and excited for what's ahead!

Tickets are on sale for Parents Night Out! For just $8, students are invited to a viewing of Zootopia 2, a drink, and 3 concession items. Tickets are available on MySchoolBucks until May 6th. This is open to students in all grade levels. Link in comments.
