Gateway's achieved the following:
· This class has a 97% graduation rate and an 84% acceleration rate, which is the highest in school history.
· Over 300 students were accepted to multiple colleges, and 19 of those students received acceptances to Top 100 Universities.
· Six students have enlisted in the military and will proudly serve our country.
· In total, students earned almost $5 million in scholarships, including 15 Education Foundation Scholarships.
· Ninety percent of seniors have a confirmed SDOC4E plan for after graduation, which is the most in school history. Almost 80 percent of graduates were accepted into college.
· Almost 130 students are eligible for Florida Bright Future Scholarship awards.
· 63 Seniors earned the Florida Seal of Biliteracy Award, which recognizes graduates who have attained a high level of competency in one or more foreign languages in addition to English. 32 of those students received the Gold Seal, and 21 received the Silver Seal.
· Seven Gateway students earned their Associate’s Degree from Valencia.
· Within Career and Technical Education programs, students earned almost 800 Industry Certifications.
· Seniors served their communities by collecting almost 20,000 community service hours.
In Visual and Performing Arts:
· Six seniors earned the Seal of Fine Arts, recognizing their exceptional work and their commitment to the arts.
· Thespian troupe 4061 attended the District 11 Thespian festival and received 21 Superior medals for solo musical, duet musical, and group musical.
· For the second year in a row, the Choirs earned Superior ratings in Sightreading at District MPA, as well as Excellent ratings on stage. The Tenor-Bass Choir also performed at Solo & Ensemble and earned a score of Excellent.
· For the second year in a row, the Marching Band received a straight Excellent rating at District MPA. Eleven students participated in District Solo & Ensemble, receiving a range from Excellent to Superior ratings. Two of those students qualified to participate in State Solo and Ensemble, where they received straight Superior ratings.
· Orchestra received an overall Excellent rating at District MPA and earned a Superior rating in sightreading for the second year in a row. Four students participated in District Solo & Ensemble, and three of them earned a range from Excellent to Superior with a Distinction rating at State Solo & Ensemble.
· Jazz Ensemble received straight Excellent ratings at District MPA.
· Several students were recognized for their outstanding work at the Osceola County Fair, with one earning Best of Show in the 3D Art category.
In Athletics:
· Girls' Basketball was OBC, District, and Regional Champions, making it all the way to the Final Four. One player was named the Class 5A Player of the Year.
· Girls Volleyball was District Champions and Regional Semifinalists.
· Boys Track & Field was District Champions, Regional Runner-Up, and the team had five State qualifiers.
· Boys Soccer made it to the Elite Eight at state, the best finish in school history.
· Boys and Girls Cross Country teams both made it to Regionals. The boys' team made it to the state meet for the second year in a row.
· Flag Football was District Champions and Regional Semifinalists, the best finish in school history
· The Girls Bowling team was District Champion and made it to the state tournament for the first time in school history
· Wrestling was named District Champions, and they had one State Qualifier.
· Eight Gateway seniors signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers in college.
