For years, the festival was celebrated in May, but due to the Florida heat, we've moved to a brand-new date in September, creating a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Even better, this change allows us to expand our programming with interactive cultural workshops throughout the day!

Como Directora de Kalindá, mi corazón está lleno de orgullo!

Este fin de semana fue una verdadera demostración de la dedicación, pasión y compromiso que caracteriza a nuestra familia de Kalindá. Mientras muchos de nuestros integrantes se encontraban en Puerto Rico representando nuestra cultura y aprendiendo de nuestros mayores, otro extraordinario grupo se quedó en Florida llevando la alegría, energía y tradición de la Bomba Puertorriqueña al Lake Nona Pineapple Festival.

Con emoción, nervios, entusiasmo y una enorme disposición de dar lo mejor de sí, asumieron una gran responsabilidad y la superaron con excelencia. Miembros de Kalindá, nuestros estudiantes, integrantes de otros grupos e incluso miembros de nuestra Junta Directiva se unieron para ofrecer una experiencia inolvidable a la comunidad.

Un agradecimiento muy especial a la mejor Gerente de Operaciones y Tesorera, Karinna Vélez, por mantener todo organizado, coordinado y a tiempo. Gracias también a nuestros maravillosos integrantes de Kalindá: Adam, Rey, Anamaria y Bayo; a nuestros dedicados estudiantes George, Myrna y Victoria; y a Pelli y Leito por compartir sus talentos con nosotros.

El festival estuvo repleto de personas que bailaron, aprendieron, cantaron y disfrutaron de los poderosos ritmos de la Bomba Puertorriqueña. Verlos representar a nuestra organización con tanta entrega, profesionalismo y orgullo cultural fue verdaderamente inspirador.

Gracias por su arduo trabajo, su compromiso, su valentía y el amor que demuestran por nuestra cultura. Sepan que todos nos sentimos profundamente orgullosos de ustedes y agradecidos por la hermosa representación que hicieron de nuestra organización.

¡Qué semana tan increíble vivió Kalindá en Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷✨

Desde Loíza hasta San Juan, este viaje estuvo lleno de cultura, aprendizaje, familia y momentos inolvidables. Tuvimos el honor de visitar y compartir con importantes portadores de nuestra tradición y mayores de nuestra cultura, escuchando sus historias, aprendiendo de sus experiencias y adquiriendo conocimientos valiosísimos sobre la Bomba y nuestra herencia ancestral.

Nos presentamos en La Magia de los Tambores, compartimos con familiares y amistades, disfrutamos de la deliciosa gastronomía puertorriqueña y dedicamos muchas horas a grabaciones y contenido detrás de cámaras junto a nuestro videógrafo. 👀🎥

From Loíza to San Juan, this journey was filled with culture, learning, family, and unforgettable memories. We had the honor of visiting and spending time with respected elders of our tradition, listening to their stories, learning from their experiences, and receiving invaluable knowledge about Bomba and its ancestral heritage.

We proudly performed at La Magia de los Tambores, connected with family and friends, enjoyed delicious Puerto Rican food, and spent countless hours behind the scenes with our videographer capturing moments that will soon become something very special. 👀🎥

As we head back home, our hearts are full of Puerto Rican love, inspiration, knowledge, and excitement for what lies ahead.
