Exciting Changes for Our Middle School Students!
As part of a districtwide initiative, all Osceola County middle schools are transitioning from the Research Course to the AVID Elective for every student.
This change reflects our district's commitment to preparing students for success in high school, college, careers, and beyond. Through the AVID Elective, students will build essential skills in organization, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and goal setting, all while continuing to receive instruction in the Florida reading standards, which are embedded throughout the course.
This isn't just a new class, it's an opportunity to equip every student with the academic and life skills needed to thrive. SOARING to an A in 2026/2027!
