As we are in the heat of election season, this is being shared as a reminder that who you elect for governor appoints the State Board of Education including individuals like the one in this video. The words in this video represent the mindset of those who have been in charge in our state for nearly 30 years. Are you one of the 2/3 in our district who did not get a raise this year? Are you just plain tired of this disrespect? Does it make you angry that your pay is 50th in the U.S. with an economy that is the 17th largest in the world? If you are, you must take that anger with you to the ballot box and vote for change.
Some of you may say that you don't want the union in politics, but as a reminder, politics is what is dictating your pay, the testing that never ends, and the micromanaging that is driving great educators out of the profession. Vote for something different.
