Congratulations to our VPK Staff for earning the designation of Excellent (the Highest Rating) from the Department of Early Learning (DEL) for the 2025-2026 school year!

We are proud to recognize and celebrate the outstanding success of our VPK programs at The School District of Osceola County!

According to The Department of Early Learning (DEL) 2025–2026 VPK School Year Provider Performance Metrics and Designation Report, the following School District of Osceola VPK sites earned the designation of Excellent:

We are thrilled to announce that we will be continuing our partnership with the REED Charitable Foundation this year thanks to a generous donation from Dr. Phillips Charities!!!

Through this partnership we will be able to continue to offer the Orton-Gillingham (OG) Method for reading instruction.

This year the reading curriculum will be taught in kindergarten and 1st Grade with plans to expand to all other grade levels in upcoming years!

We’re proud to champion the as it works to strengthen literacy and help young readers thrive through its reading program at Thacker Elementary School. Together, we’re investing in students, building stronger literacy skills and helping ensure more children have the tools they need to succeed. 🍊📖

Wednesday is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 2:15 pm. Please plan accordingly for pick up and dismissal.

Join us this Wednesday for our first School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting of the year! This is a great way for families to get involved and stay informed. Come learn about the functions of the Council and learn a bit more about our school and Wildcat community.
