K–2 students wrapped up Tillman’s first STEAM Quest experience on Friday, after an exciting morning of Field Day fun. Our youngest Trailblazers explored hands-on STEAM experiences designed with creativity, problem-solving, and student choice in mind. One of the most exciting parts of STEAM Quest was seeing students engage with many new materials purchased this spring, through the incredible generosity of our PTO Trivia Night paddle raise. We appreciate the time and efforts of our STEAM Quest coordinators -- Mrs. Hawkins, Mrs. Buening, and Mrs. Schlund -- and all the teachers and volunteers who made this memorable day a double-dose of joy.

Our 3rd–5th graders kicked off Tillman’s very first STEAM Quest on Friday with a morning built around student choice, creativity, and collaboration! Students packed the Makerspace — where design thinking was off the charts — and loved building and problem solving with materials like Keva planks, Rigamajig kits, and Hypertiles — purchased through this year’s PTO Trivia Night paddle raise. The result? Spaces full of joyful learning, teamwork, and really cool creations. We loved watching students build, experiment, encourage one another, and make their thinking visible in so many ways!

Our tour of Friday's events continues with highlights of 3rd-5th grade Field Day. Kudos to Coach Presley and Coach Tes for their planning -- and to the many volunteers to worked stations throughout the day. We lucked out with beautiful weather! More pics coming soon to Schoology.

The Chartwells food truck will visit Tillman tomorrow (Monday), our final time before summer break. The menu will include chicken tenders, grilled cheese sandwiches, sunbutter and jelly sandwiches, and french fries. The food truck fries and chicken tenders have quickly become a favorite at Tillman! Normal pricing will be in effect.

Laundry alert, Tillman families! Our final full week of the school year is also SPIRIT WEEK, and we’re kicking things off Monday with Tie-Dye Day! Get those pajamas, silly socks, grade-level colors, and Tillman gear ready for a week full of fun, school spirit, and great memories as we celebrate the end of an amazing year together.

It was so much fun having our seniors and their families back on campus today. The clap-outs have quickly become a favorite new tradition - and we love that so many seniors hung out, toured campus, and visited with former teachers and current Trailblazers.
