This past Thursday Robinson competed in the St. Louis Elementary Battle of the Books! Out of 21 teams, they placed 3rd!! They have been working hard since last fall to read all 10 books over and over and memorize lots of information. Great job team!

The Missouri Association of School Librarians announced the winners of this year's award nominees. Robinson 1st-3rd graders chose the same Show-Me Winner, "Hamsters Make Terrible Roomates". Robinson 4th and 5th graders' choice for first, "A Rover's Story" came in 2nd in the state, with "Girl in the Lake" taking home first place!

Yesterday, the library had the privilege of having Emma C. for our Librarian of the Day! She was a natural and helped students check out books, play a bookworm guessing game, read to Kindergartners, and made her own book display. Great job Emma!

Here's our March Report! We were very busy getting ready for Terry Border's visit (coming up this Friday!), reading lots of books for March Madness, researching inspiration women for Women's History Month, and learning to use Destiny Discover!

Last Thursday, two teams of Robinson students competed in the Kirkwood Elementary Battle of the Books! These students have been working hard on reading the books and practicing very detailed trivia questions since this Fall. They did an amazing job! 10 of the students will go on to compete in the St. Louis area battle on May 15th.

Earlier this month, students voted for their favorite state nominees. Here are the Robinson results. The results from across Missouri will be announced in mid-April so stay tuned!
