Our Leaders Among Us class had a special guest this morning, Kirkwood Mayor Liz Gibbons!

Mayor Gibbons shared her leadership journey and gave our students an inside look at what it means to lead a community. She answered questions about why she wanted to become mayor, her career before entering public service, lessons learned from difficult decisions, the election and campaign process.

Thank you for coming to inspire the next generation of leaders!

Yesterday, NKMS dropped off nearly 100 meal kits and more than 660 pounds of food to Operation Food Search!

These meal kits were assembled by our students during our first Service Learning Launch Day, where students spent the day learning about community needs, connecting with local organizations, and finding meaningful ways to make a difference.

Operation Food Search works to fight hunger and improve access to nutritious food for families throughout the St. Louis region. We’re excited that our students were able to contribute to that important work!

A huge thank-you to the NKMS families and community members who donated supplies to make this project possible. What started as a collection of ingredients turned into hundreds of pounds of food ready to help our neighbors.

Learn. Connect. Serve. ❤️

It’s National Principals Month!

Dr. Liberton, Mr. Hohm, and Dr. Hoell don’t just lift each other up, they lift all of us up! Their leadership, support, and commitment make such a difference every single day at NKMS and we are so thankful for them!
