Calling all Preschoolers! We are enrolling!
The Lab School still has some openings for 2026-2027 school year. If you are looking for a loving play-based preschool, The Lab School is the place for you. We have early care, morning classes, lunch bunch, and extended day options. We are currently enrolling for 3’s and 4’s classes. Do you have a child with a late birthday? Our Blue Class accommodates late birthdays and children who need gift year before entering kindergarten. Our curriculum includes Gross Motor and Music Class each week, and we have in-house Science Field Trips throughout the year. We follow Project Construct Skills Curriculum, aligning with the MO Early Learning Standards focusing on hands on learning. You will not find screens here; we are too busy learning our skills through centers and social interactions with peers.

We have some exciting news to share with our preschool community! I would like to extend a huge thank you to Allen Outdoor Solutions. Recently, our playground received a wonderful refresh, including a newly redesigned sandbox that creates more open space for the children to run, explore, and play more freely. This thoughtful update has already made a big difference in how the children use and enjoy our playground. We are incredibly grateful to Allen Outdoor Solutions for their generosity in completing the project removal and installation, at no cost to our school. As a nonprofit preschool, this act of kindness truly makes a meaningful difference for our students and families.
We would especially like to recognize Steve Allen, Owner and President, for his leadership and commitment to supporting our local organization. His team’s hard work and dedication have given our children a revitalized outdoor environment that they are already enjoying today. Our playground is a beloved area of our school, also serving as a welcoming space where children and families gather each morning.

Spotlight on Music and Movement!
Mr. Aiden and Ms. Cindy work to provide a strong musical curriculum-focusing on singing, dancing, playing instruments and so much more. Their specialty is keeping it moving at all times. If you stop by the music room, you are sure to see happy children and a lot of smiling faces!

Spotlight on Teachers! Yellow Room Extended Day

Ms. Rachel (pictured left), Ms. Laura (pictured right) & Ms. Jeanne (pictured right) are our extended day class teachers. They get to spend their days with a mixture of 3-5 year old that have an afternoon of learning too. They are skilled at providing and open-ended afternoon curriculum, and lots of love. The extended day children look forward to their curriculum that they often choose. Science is their favorite! Thank you Ms. Rachel, Ms. Laura, and Ms. Jeanne for taking great care of our afternoon children!

Spotlight on Teachers-Gross Motor!
Ms. Katie (left) is our Gross Motor Teacher, and Ms. Susan (right) is our Gross Motor co-teacher & Traveling Teacher. Each Monday this pair works together to provide large motor movement activities. The children love running, hopping, kicking, obstacle courses & more. When you step into Gross Motor you are sure to find active and happy children. Ms. Katie and Ms. Susan are skilled in keeping it moving and fun. Thank you Ms. Katie and Ms. Susan!
