Carmelite Child Development Center

We honored Mary our Mother today at our annual May Crowning! May she draw us all nearer to her Immaculate Heart during this special month dedicated to her!

In November, the major relics of St. Therese of Lisieux came to our St. Agnes Home Chapel! The children eagerly carried roses and petals and placed them before her reliquary. St. Therese of Lisieux, pray for us!

In December, the children joyfully sang and performed at their Christmas Pageants, and prepared their hearts beautifully for the Nativity of Our Lord.

We are still celebrating the 40th anniversary of Carmelite Child Development Center! On September 6th, past and current Carmelite families and friends joined the Sisters for Mass and a potluck picnic. Sr. M. Benedicta, our first daycare director, was present and recognized in a special way. We are so grateful for all of the little hearts that have been formed in His Heart at Carmelite since 1985!

Our Carmelite Kids came dressed up as their favorite Saint for our “All Saint’s Day Parade”. We then went over to St. Agnes Home to showcase our Saints for the residents and our families as we sang “When the Saints Go Marching In”.

Today we have to say “see you soon” to Miss Ruth as she steps into a beautiful new chapter - marriage! While we will miss her joyful spirit and the love she has shared with our children and staff, we are excited for the blessings God has in store for her. May the Lord guide her and her husband -to -be with grace, peace and a love that continues to grow in Him. Go with our prayers, Miss Ruth! You will be deeply missed.

Our Carmelite families joined our staff and the Carmelite Sisters for a fun filled evening at our annual Carmelite Family Picnic! It was a great evening full of faith, food, fun & fellowship !
