We offer one-on-one tutoring after school on Wednesdays & Thursdays. Our mission is for students to achieve grade level in reading by the 3rd grade.
Our focus is reading for children in grades K–3 who are referred to us by their classroom teacher. All of our volunteers have met the Kirkwood School District volunteer requirements, includint fingerprinting & background checks.

This dynamic financial education series is designed to encourage savings and reinforce healthy mindsets and financial habits as the season transitions. Through a blend of practical workshops, interactive tools, and expert insights, participants learn to build and maintain financial stability, set achievable savings goals, and navigate common challenges like healthy spending, debt management, making large purchases, and (re)building credit.
Participants who qualify and complete series requirements (attend four class sessions & two financial coaching sessions and make six deposits in a savings account totaling up to $250) will be eligible for a 2:1 savings match.
Dates: Wednesdays Oct 15, 22, 29 & Nov 5
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 pm each week
