This achievement represents so much hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Between being a wife, a mom to a little girl, and a paramedic student, Alisha had plenty of demands on her time—but she kept pushing forward and made it happen!

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless families and communities forever changed that day.

We remember the firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and other first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We remember the lives they fought to save.
And we remember those who never made it home.

As an academy dedicated to educating the next generation of EMS professionals, we will Never Forget the example of service, courage, and selflessness shown that day.

Whether you’re firing up the grill, heading out on the water, soaking up the last bit of summer, or just enjoying some well-deserved time off, we hope you have a HAPPY, FUN & SAFE LABOR DAY! 🎉

☀️ A few reminders before you head out:
💧 Stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat — don’t overheat!
🧴 Protect your skin and don’t forget the sunscreen — nobody needs a lobster-red souvenir! 🦞
🚗 Never drink and drive.
🚤 Never drink and operate a boat.
👀 Keep an eye on your friends, family, and kids — especially around the water.
