I know it has been a long time since we have posted anything about classes. This year we have purchased a new building and done major studio renovations! We are now operating as Smooth Moves Studios and offering martial arts as well as many other classes in a much larger space.

If your child would like to join the new Tiger Quest program, please contact us on the Smooth Moves page or the phone number listed in the post below. We will be deleting the Warrior Spirit page soon and solely using the SMS page.

We at SMS are excited to introduce our newest class, Tiger Quest! Tiger Quest is a martial arts based mentoring program designed for grade school students. Beginning November 4th*, classes will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00pm. These classes will consist of structured play and learning time full of activities designed to push students both physically and mentally. Sifu Ben Brown has over a decade of experience running these classes and is excited to start offering them here.

*October classes may be available for early signups

Class update:

Regular weekly classes at WSMAA will be changing times starting next week (current students have already been contacted). We are also adding a second morning Tai Chi class at Rejuvenate starting August 10th! We are planning some pop-up evening classes which will be posted separately.

Sifu Ben Brown has been practicing martial arts for 22 years. He is a 3rd degree black belt in Wu Shen Pai Kenpo and a black sash in Tai Chi Ch'üan.

Ben has been teaching both kids and adults classes for 14 years and ran a youth program in Las Vegas for 10 years prior to moving to Kirksville.

Kenpo isn’t just punches and kicks- there is a focus on developing strength of character and my relationship with my students goes well beyond the mats.”
