Still looking for a summer camp in Kirkland?
We’re excited to invite your child to Discover the World Summer Camp, offered through the City of Kirkland Parks & Community Services!
Children will explore different cultures through fun, hands-on activities, crafts, games, and cultural experiences. During the camp, they will learn about countries such as Japan, South India and Taiwan with instructors from different cultural backgrounds.
This is a small-group camp designed to be welcoming, interactive, and meaningful for kids.
Week3: July 27-30
📍 Heritage Hall , Kirkland
👧🧒 Age 5-11
⏰ 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
🌏 Japan (2days),Taiwan and South India
🎨 Language, Crafts, games, and cultural activities

Making paper airplanes with the kids at Summer Camp!
We folded, decorated, tested, and flew our own paper airplanes together. It was a simple but exciting activity filled with creativity, teamwork, and lots of smiles!

We gathered with friends for a casual Japanese cultural afternoon. 🇯🇵✨
Together we explored the traditions of matcha and wagashi, learned about their history and meaning, and enjoyed shaping beautiful seasonal sweets.
It was wonderful to share Japanese culture through conversation, creativity, and connection.

Day 3 of Discover the World Camp was all about Korea! 🇰🇷
The children learned how to greet others in Korean and practiced saying “please.”
They also challenged themselves with Taekwondo front kicks, made colorful pinwheels, and enjoyed playing outside with them.☺️
It was a fun-filled day of learning through movement, creativity, and play!
Day 2 of Discover the World Camp was all about Peru! 🇵🇪
The children learned where Peru is located, what the country’s shape looks like on the map, and practiced simple greetings in Spanish.😄
We also learned about the Nazca Lines and explored Peru’s culture through fun activities.
Another wonderful day of discovering the world together! 🇵🇪
