Thank you, nurses, for the kindness and compassion you show your patients every day. You truly are the hands and feet of Jesus.

We recently learned of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Esther Crook. In memory of her faithful service, we honor Esther for teaching future nurses to serve others and share the love of Jesus.

In 2001, Esther Anderson Crook joined the faculty of the Buntain School of Nursing, where she taught obstetrics and shaped the next generation of nurses. Her impact extended beyond the classroom as she led senior nursing students on mission trips to India, providing them with opportunities to practice nursing as ministry.

Even after retiring from teaching, she remained deeply engaged, generously giving her time, expertise, and resources to the Buntain School of Nursing.

Alongside her husband, Sterling, also a Northwest University alumnus, Esther has been a dedicated donor, making it possible for nursing students to learn in a state-of-the-art skills and simulation lab.

Through the Anderson-Crook Endowed Nursing Scholarship, she continues to support junior nursing students who feel called to serve both at home and abroad.

Esther’s career is a living testament to Northwest University’s value of empowered engagement with human need. We honor her extraordinary legacy and unwavering commitment to nursing education, service, and faith.
