Canvas is back online.
Instructure, the company that operates Canvas, discovered on May 7, an unauthorized actor made changes to pages that appeared when some students and teachers logged in. As a precaution to prevent further unauthorized access, they took Canvas offline while they confirmed how the unauthorized actor gained access and remediated to prevent further issues.
Please continue to be vigilant for phishing emails and messages claiming your information has been stolen. Scammers are attempting to take advantage of the Canvas outage to target users, so please exercise extra caution over the next several days.
If you believe there is anything suspicious involving your LWTech account, please contact the Help Desk immediately for assistance.
