We made it through another year! Congrats to all our Pre-K kiddos, you will do great in kindergarten! Don't forget to come back and visit us!
Thank you families for all your hard work this year, getting your kids to school on time, working with them to be successful at school and packing them healthy lunches(they always looked delicious!)
I hope that everyone has a fantastic summer making fun memories, playing outside with your new beach toys, getting wet and dirty, and eating as many popsicles as possible!

The Twinkles Class finished up learning about dinosaurs. They got to dig for the fossils they made in science. They used up our nature paint on our outdoor easel. We enjoyed the promotion ceremony and family picnic outside although it was a little chilly.

The Stars Class finished off the year camping, roasting marshmallows for s'mores, and making ice cream cones in art. They got to bring home their ABC books, they worked on all year!
Both classes help the teachers by cleaning the tables with shaving cream-always a big hit because its soo messy!

We only have one week left of preschool! What an amazing year we have had! Your kids have grown so much!
Thank you to everyone who came to the last Chapel to watch our sing-a-long! The kids really performed amazing, they were true rock-stars!
The Twinkles class is ending the year learning about dinosaurs, which has been a big hit! They read dinosaur books, did dinosaur freeze dance, walked like dinosaurs out to recess. Some friends even wore dinosaur tee shirts! In art they read the book That's Not My Dinosaur by by Fiona Watt then we made our own dinosaurs for art. They also made pasta-sauruses out of dried pasta. In science, everyone carefully used their droppers to “hatch” their baking soda eggs with vinegar. Surprise! There were tiny dinosaurs inside! For Lunch and Learn, Mr. Sam brought in chimes and played Mary Had a Little Lamb for the class. He plays bells with the HSLC bell choir- he is very talented!

The Stars Class went on a huge adventure-a BEAR HUNT! We started off reading the book We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen.
They worked all week on multi-step art projects as a class and that required everyone to follow the directions step-by-step. They did great working on the current step, waiting for friends before moving on. They all turned out amazing!

Highlight of the week was FIELD DAY!!!!
We are thankful the clouds and rain held off. We had bubbles, hula hoops, sit and spins, and hurdles. We played tetris, and ball toss! Cant forget the stomp rockets and giant parachute!!!! Everyone got to eat lunch outside, and take a quick break for water.
Thank you Mr Sam for getting the rockets that flew onto the roof!!
Thank you Miss Becky for the yummy popsicles to cool everyone off after playing otuside!
The Stars class spent some time inside too!! They made some sharks this week for art, and read the book Peanut Butter and Jelly Fish by Jarret J Krosoczka. It was a huge hit!!

As we are winding down this school year, we are working on having fun and playing all together because we are all friends and on the same team. Both classes enjoyed playing outside and using the art easel.
The Twinkles Class learned about ocean animals and made fish to hang in the classroom. They read the book Under the Sea by Eric Carle. For science we used water tubs. Monday we played with frozen shaving cream, like icebergs and on Wednesday we used our tongs to count our pipe cleaner fish that were in our ocean.

The Stars Class learned about zoo and jungle animals. They read The Loudest Roar by Thomas Taylor. It helped us to remember to treat friends how we want to be treated because its not fun to be roared at :)
They made zebras in art, and did a great job over two days with all the steps. They also worked on helping our peas grow on a trellis in the garden, and water all the lettuce, garlic and potatoes. They were able to enjoy lunch outside to end the week!

Just a reminder there is no school on Monday, for the Memorial Day Holiday! Enjoy the long weekend!
