In this episode of Insightful Questions, Head of School Sam Uzwack is joined by student Victoria, School Counselor Amy Sanchez, and Trustee Dr. Habib Rahbar for a rich conversation about responsible use of technology tools, digital boundaries, and growing up in the age of artificial intelligence. Together, they reflect navigating the nuances of our digital age and on shared values. As Habib notes, “AI is going to make us all more efficient, but how are we all going to learn to be better human beings through that…I love how EPS has kind of always been focusing on those things.”

For this episode, EPS social science faculty members Diana Gonzalez-Castillo and Dan Yezbick reflect on building trust within the classroom setting in order to build on the habits of mind and skills for civil discourse to flourish. You may not be aware, but this year we now have more alumni than current students. As time progresses, we are ever impressed with the paths our alumni are taking in college and in life. To that end, we produced a short video to say hello and remind you again, you are always wanted and welcome on campus. Take a look here: https://f.io/UfKCvkJU

As your numbers grow, we are looking for more ways to connect. We’ll again run a pub night for alumni on May 23 (check your email for more details!) and ten-year reunions each fall. Beyond social gatherings, we are working on new ways for our alumni to access information and serve as a resource to other alumni. Look for more information soon in the future.

Our primary interest is in connecting. If you do feel like responding to Sam’s request to donate $21 in honor of our 21st year, you can do so easily here: https://www.venmo.com/u/EPSAlumni
