Thank You for Making Our Book Rodeo a Success!

Thoreau PTA wants to say thank you to everyone who donated books for our annual Book Rodeo, including Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park and Half Price Books in Redmond!

We were able to re-home over 1,050 books (about 2.7 books per student). We also want to thank Trader Joe's for donating bags to help our younger students to carry their treasures home. Our hope is that every Thoreau student has fun reading this summer. Happy Reading!

We need you!

As the year draws to a close, the Thoreau PTA wants to make sure our Thoreau community is set up for success this next year.

Thoreau PTA is made up of volunteers from our school community, and we need your help to make it happen. We have many open chair positions for this next year, and we'd love your help in filling them. Many chair commitments require just a couple hours a week and can be done from home.

Communications- PTA emails and Frog News
Communications- Social Media
Fundraising- Day of Coordinator
Fundraising- Prizes
Grants
Membership
Talent Show
Pantry Packs
Picture Day
Advocacy

If we do not get some of these chair positions filled, it means PTA will need to reduce the number of programs and events we can support. We want to make sure our teachers and students have the best 2026-27 school year possible. If you have experience in any of these areas, we'd love to hear from you. Reach out to [email protected] if you are interested or have questions about chairing these events.

Also, if you have a passion for an event or topic that you do not see on this list, please reach out! We love it when we can reflect our unique school community.

Have a great summer, and we'll see you in the fall!
