Happy first day of Fall 🍁. We celebrated by making a fall craft. We traced our hands, cut, and taped our hands on another piece of paper. We used bath loofahs to paint our colorful leaves. Once done with painting we took the hand stencil off and we were left a beautiful fall tree, with our hands and fingers representing the tree long and branches. As an art therapist, I strongly encourage the use of other materials for arts and crafts, such as using a bath loofah to paint. This will allow children to express their art skills, think outside the box, and be more creative in the future.

Name spelling practice. Every month, I make everyone in the class a name practice page based on our theme. This month we did apples for our back to school theme. We have also been focusing on lowercase letters this month.

I laminate the page and the pieces to keep them sturdy. It also makes it easier to clean. I add velcro to keep the pieces together.

For reference, Delara is 2 years and 10 months ❤️
