You would be looking at the target, the road off in the distance, and would take in everything closer to you in the same field of vision.”

Many new shooters make the mistake of looking at the gun while trying to line it up with the target. In reality, that makes shooting clay targets more difficult. As soon as a shooter learns to trust the gun mount and keep their focus on the target, the game seems to slow down and becomes much easier. They still need to be aware of where the gun is, but their visual focus should stay on the target.
