We have had many questions about the costs to build new vs repair the existing school buildings. The link below from the Colorado Department of Education's assessment of Kiowa's current school campus breaks down their estimated cost of $35M to repair the existing buildings. With the 2025 awarded BEST Grant, the local cost to build new will be $9.9M. The choice is clear, folks.

Final Update: 4A lost by 87 votes.

This isn't the result we were hoping for, but we remain grateful for the support we received during this election season, and we thank every voter who saw the value in supporting Kiowa's students, community, and future.

Kiowa will not be building a new school in the foreseeable future, but the needs remain, and our staff and students need our support more than ever. Please take this as a sign to get involved and help in any way you can. Together, we can make a positive difference in Kiowa Schools!

UPDATE!! We just learned that there are approximately 350 ballots within the Kiowa School District that haven't been counted yet due to snow closures. 4A still has a chance, so keep your fingers crossed! We will know more early next week and will update as soon as we have more information. 🤞

The results are not official yet, but it looks likely that Kiowa's 4A lost with a 4.56% margin. We will update here if that changes.
