🏆 Northwest Awards Day Schedule

‼️ IMPORTANT REMINDER for all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade families! EOG testing begins tomorrow! Students have been working hard this year and they are ready to Level Up!

➡️ There will be testing tomorrow, Thursday, May 28th, Friday, May 29th and Tuesday, June 2nd.

➡️ Please be sure your child has a good night's rest and is at school on time each day of testing.

Our 3rd–5th graders were all smiles at this week's EOG Pep Rally! 🎉📚

A huge thank you to the KHS cheerleaders and basketball players for visiting our school to encourage, motivate, and cheer on our students before testing begins. Their positive messages and energy helped remind our students to believe in themselves, stay confident, and simply do their best!

Students also enjoyed some fun staff v/s student games that brought lots of laughter and helped ease those pre-testing nerves. It was a great afternoon filled with encouragement, school spirit, and excitement as we get ready to shine on our EOG tests next week! 💙🦅

We are so excited to have our 5th grade Science Club featured in this amazing article about the School of Rockfish program through the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences! 🐟💙

Our students had the incredible opportunity to raise striped bass fry, monitor water quality, learn about conservation science, and release the fish into the Tar River basin. From building tanks to studying food webs and fisheries management, this hands-on experience brought science to life in the best way.

We are so proud of our students for becoming young conservationists and helping support restoration efforts right here in North Carolina. Thank you to all of the amazing partners, biologists, and organizations who make this program possible!

The “School of Rockfish” is now in session | Programs and Events Calendar This year students from 25 classrooms located in 13 North Carolina counties are hooked on hands-on learning as they participate in the School of Rockfish program through the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh.
