2025–2026 is a wrap ❤️
So proud of each and every one of these students. Tonight we celebrated the unique ways each student displayed a Fruit of the Spirit throughout the school year. Their kindness, patience, gentleness, self control, joy, and love for one another does not go unnoticed.
One of the sweetest parts of this year has been watching these students encourage each other, serve their community, and grow in character and faith.
A special shoutout to our first ever graduate, Gage Golden. Gage leads the way with a heart full of compassion and kindness, and we cannot wait to watch as he continues to follow God.
So grateful for the families, volunteers, and community who help pour into these students. It truly takes all of us ❤️

Highlights from Day 2 of our Young Marines Field Exercise!
A huge congratulations to YM PFC Golden, YM PVT Daniels, YM PVT Thigpen B, YM PVT Cantrell, and YM PVT Thigpen A for successfully mastering the land navigation course and standing out amongst their peers. We also had 12 Young Marines pass their swim qualification test today!
Our Character Champion Awards of the night went to YM Rct Beal and YM PVT Daniels. What makes these awards especially meaningful is that they were selected by their peers!

Thank you with SELAH Institute for bringing the farm to our playground! 🐐🐇
The Selah Institute is another microschool launching in Lenoir County in Fall 2026, offering a project based learning model that gives students hands on educational experiences. Our students loved getting to interact with the baby goats and bunnies today!

Thankful to Chris Neal owner Excel Hose and Hydraulics and a U.S. Army soldier, for coming out to teach an introduction to land navigation and orienteering to our Kinston Young Marines today!
Students had the opportunity to participate in hands-on, practical instruction while learning a valuable life skill that builds confidence, problem solving, and situational awareness.
Another week of field prep in the books as we get closer to our upcoming field exercise!
