Today is a bittersweet day at Southeast as we celebrate the retirement of Mr. Parker after 21 incredible years of service. 💚💛
For 21 years, Mr. Parker has been one of those people who simply made our school work. So much of what he did happened quietly and behind the scenes, but there was hardly a part of our school that wasn’t better because he was there. He kept us flowing, kept us running steady, fixed what needed fixing, handled what needed handling, and was always someone we knew we could count on.
There are people who come to work and do their job, and then there are people who become part of the heartbeat of a place. Mr. Parker is part of the heartbeat of Southeast. His dedication, dependability, hard work, and the care he showed our school for more than two decades will not be easily replaced—or forgotten.
Twenty-one years means thousands of students, countless teachers and staff members, early mornings, long days, school events, messes, repairs, and probably more “Mr. Parker, can you help us with…” requests than anyone could ever count. And through it all, he was there. ❤️
Mr. Parker, thank you for every big thing and every little thing—the things everyone saw and especially the things no one saw. Thank you for taking such good care of our school and all of us who call it home.
We hope retirement brings you all the rest, happiness, and time to enjoy life that you so deserve. Once a Southeast Cub, always a Southeast Cub. 🐻💚💛
