Our school theme this year is “Called to Cultivate”. As a visual reminder of this theme, we are working together to cultivate a small sunflower throughout the year. During in-service week, the teachers prepared the soil, planted the seed, and began watering it. Throughout the year, each of our classes will take turns nurturing and “pouring into” it. This week was Mrs. Davette’s class’s turn, and they were so excited to come in this morning and see sprouts!!

FWMA Family Spotlight Day 11: Andrea Mefford- Administrator and Middle & High School ELA Teacher
Andrea is the founder of Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. She started this family in 2021, and she has been amazed at how God has blessed this ministry over the past 5 years. This year she will be teaching middle and high school ELA classes and all fine arts classes, providing hands-on-support in the classrooms, conducting one-on-one and separate setting services, counseling, and fulfilling all other administrator duties. We are so excited to see how God will work throughout our school year!

We are so excited to have Kimberly join our FWMA family! She is our new finance director. Her years of experience in this area make her an excellent candidate for this position, and her compassion and sweet, outgoing spirit make her a perfect fit for Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. FWMA Family Spotlight Day 9: Jenny Donoho- Administrative Assistant
Jenny joined our family in the spring of last school year as our social media coordinator. Over the summer, she stepped into an administrative assistant role. In addition to the regular administrative assistant duties, she will continue to oversee our social media outlets and will help with our first yearbook. Her creativity and outgoing personality are a wonderful combination for these roles, and we look forward to a great year with her on our team.

Rebekah joined the FWMA family this summer. She began as a part time administrative assistant and has agreed to join us full time for the school year. She brings years of experience to our administrative assistant team. She will continue as an administrative assistant during the school year and will also assist in some middle school classes. She has already proven to be a wonderful addition to our team, and we are looking forward to a wonderful year with her.

This will be Emma’s first year with us at FWMA, and we are so excited to have her join our family. She will be the Administrator’s Assistant and will help Mrs. Andrea with one-on-one services, separate setting instruction, counseling, etc. She will be adding this hands-on training to her ongoing education and experience, and we look forward to seeing her grow in this field. We know she is going to be an amazing fit for our school, and God is going to use her in amazing ways this year.

FWMA Family Spotlight Day 6: Dr. Greg Kincaid- Biblical Worldview
Dr. Greg is the pastor of Neuse Baptist Church where our school is located, and he joined our family last school year as the high school Bible teacher. His education, experience, and personality make this the perfect class for him. He teaches the high schoolers about building a Biblical worldview, defending their faith, and understanding Biblical apologetics. We are so thankful for Dr. Greg and all that he brings to FWMA.

FWMA Family Spotlight Day 5: Steve Palmer- Middle School Bible Teacher
Steve joined our family last spring. He volunteers as the middle school Bible teacher, and he does an amazing job. They all love Mr. Steve. He was a children’s pastor in Kansas, and that experience helps him teach this age group about God’s love for them and His desire to have a relationship with them. Steve has a heart for young people, and we are so thankful that he is willing to give his time to pour into our students.

FWMA Family Spotlight Day 4: Latoya Hobbs- Middle and High School Teacher
This will be Latoya’s first year with us here at FWMA. She will be teaching math, history, science, and PE/Health this year. She began tutoring over the summer and is already building positive relationships with her students. She brings so much education and experience to our school, and we are looking forward to seeing how God uses her here at FWMA this year.
