Congratulations are in order for the newly inducted members and the Chapter President, who will soon be graduating. We express our gratitude to the guest speaker for sharing her insights on education. The Chapter Vice-President, Acting Secretary, and a new member were recognized for their excellence with the Leadership, Service, and Rising Star Service Awards, respectively. The Chapter's achievements are a direct result of the dedication and commitment of its officers, members, and Counselor. We look forward to another year of remarkable service and achievements.

Dr. Monica Wong-Ratcliff, the Counselor of the Chi Upsilon Chapter, was honored together with her colleagues on March 6, 2025. They were the 2024-2025 Texas A&M University System Chancellor’s Academy of Teacher Educators inductees.

Teacher preparation—it’s why Javelina Nation first opened our doors a century ago as South Texas State Teachers College. Today, our EC-6 Teacher Preparation Program was recognized for their transformative work with a Team Award at the The Texas A&M University System Chancellor’s Academy of Teacher Educators special recognition ceremony. Recipients include Fernando Hernandez, Cheryl McNair, Olivia Panganiban Modesto, Sonia Perez and Monica Wong-Ratcliff.

A special thank to the Vice-President of the Chi Upsilon Chapter who prepared the home-made trail mix for the Fall Carnival. The President and the Counselor of the Chapter participated in the event. The cooler weather made the event more enjoyable.
