Leah Lacey '21. Leah, who loves helping children learn and grow, always wanted to be a teacher. In 2025, she graduated from Lancaster Bible College with a major in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Biblical Studies. Her college years provided opportunities to intern at three Pennsylvania elementary schools and student teach in the 4th grade. During these valuable experiences, she determined that phonics and reading were her favorite area of instruction. This fall, Leah is returning for her second year as a teacher at Beachmont Childcare, where she loves the Christian nature-based Pre K program that takes her outside every day to help students use their imaginations while they learn about God's creation. With her students, Leah takes great joy in teaching about God and sharing Bible stories.

Many remember Haden Welsh ’20 as a talented actor, good friend, and great supporter of Redeemer school events. He is continuing many of these roles as he steps into his third year teaching 2nd grade at Villa Cresta Elementary School. Haden wanted to be a teacher for as long as he can remember. His favorite aspect of his work is teaching children to read and gain the foundational skills they will need to be successful. A 2024 magna cm laude graduate of Stevenson University, Haden served as a Resident Assistant for three years and was a swim team member for 4 years. Redeemer is pleased to welcome Julia Oliver Sadowski '19 back for her fourth year teaching our 5th grade. In her classes she most enjoys sharing the love of Jesus, talking with students, and seeing them grow in character and knowledge. It is exciting for her to observe her students as they see things suddenly make sense in math, figure out connections in the plot of books they are studying in literature, and express wonder in science experiments. A 2023 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Loyola University Maryland, Julia majored in Biology and took part in the Loyola Honors Program, Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, and Sigma Phi Classics Honor Society. She also earned her M.A. in Teaching Specialization in Elementary Education from Loyola in 2025. Julia's five years of work with Beachmont Christian Ministries as a camp counselor, PE teacher, and Bible stories teacher confirmed her strong interest in teaching. In July 2025, Julia married Aaron Sadowski '20. Together they have many lasting friendships and happy memories from Redeemer.

As Hannah begins her 7th year of teaching with the Baltimore County Schools, big changes are in store. Mars Estates Elementary School will be her new school and initial year of teaching 1st grade. At Holabird Middle School and Padonia Elementary School, Hannah enjoyed teaching 4th grade. At each location, her main and favorite subject to teach was math. She looks forward to unique adventures in 1st grade. Very well prepared , Hannah is a 2020 Towson University graduate where she was a part of the Honors College, majored in Elementary Education, and completed a capstone project on Music in the Classroom. For the summer, Hannah is having fun with projects in her new house.
