The student would have to travel to Kingstree once to register. Yes we have Tuesday and Thursday weekday classes and Saturday only 9-12 noon classes.

Guess what? 👀 Your healthcare training could help you qualify for a Patient Care Technician position!
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) has different qualification pathways for Patient Care Technician I and Patient Care Technician II positions.
🎓 PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN I
✅ High school diploma or GED required.
🎓 PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN II
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED AND meet at least ONE of the following qualifications:
✅ An associate or bachelor's degree
✅ At least one year of work experience in a 0.6 FTE Patient Care Technician I position at MUSC Charleston
✅ One year of experience working in a healthcare facility
✅ Active enrollment in nursing school and completion of Nursing Fundamentals at an accredited institution
✅ Active enrollment in an accredited healthcare-related program
✅ CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification from an accredited institution
