A Message of Gratitude

Celebrating the 2025-2026 School Year
As we close another remarkable school year, I find myself reflecting on the countless moments that have defined the 2025-2026 school year at The Graham Academy.

There have been smiles and laughter.

There have been challenges and tears.

There have been moments of celebration, moments of growth, and moments that reminded us why we do this work each and every day.

Most importantly, there have been students.

Students who learned.

Students who grew.

Students who overcame obstacles.

Students who surprised us, inspired us, and reminded us that success comes in many different forms.

This year was filled with accomplishments that cannot always be measured by test scores or data points. Success was found in a student's first words, a new friendship, a successful transition, a behavioral breakthrough, an independent skill mastered, a classroom achievement, and a student's growing confidence in themselves.

To our students, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. You are the reason we come to work each day with purpose and passion. Your perseverance, resilience, and growth continue to inspire us.

To our families, thank you for your trust, partnership, and support. We recognize that educating children is a shared responsibility, and we are grateful that you allow us to be part of your child's story. Your collaboration, advocacy, and belief in our mission make our work possible.

To our staff, thank you for your dedication and unwavering commitment to students. You show up every day ready to teach, support, encourage, and care for children who deserve nothing less than your very best. Your work extends far beyond the classroom walls, and the impact you have on the lives of students and families cannot be measured. The Graham Academy is successful because of the incredible professionals who choose to make a difference every day.

To our district partners, community organizations, our community partnership with SAFE, and stakeholders, thank you for your continued collaboration and support. Together, we have created opportunities for students to learn, grow, participate, and thrive within their communities.

This year we celebrated many milestones and accomplishments:

Successful community partnerships and events that
brought families together.

Student participation in leadership and community engagement opportunities.

Academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth throughout our programs.

Increased collaboration with districts, families, colleges, and community organizations.

Recognition as the Times Leader Best of the Best Gold Award Winner for Special Education Schools.
Successful school-wide events, family nights, community outreach initiatives, and student celebrations that showcased the incredible talents of our students.

Community donations to Challenger Baseball and A Moment of Magic Foundation.

One of the greatest accomplishments this year cannot be found on a certificate or award. It is the culture we continue to build together.

A culture of consideration.

A culture of accountability.

A culture of safety.

A culture of engagement.

A culture where students are valued, families are welcomed, and staff are empowered to make a difference.

We are growing.

We are evolving.

We are learning.

And we are proud of the school we are and the school we continue to become.

As we look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, we do so with excitement, optimism, and gratitude. We know there is still work to be done, goals to achieve, and lives to impact. We also know that with the support of our families, staff, district partners, and community stakeholders, the future of The Graham Academy is brighter than ever.

We would like to give a huge thank you to the Graham Academy PTO for their continued support of our students and school community! We would also like to give a special shoutout to Ms. Brynn for all of her hard work organizing our NOVA and Sky Zone nights for all 3 locations. These events provided our students and families with wonderful opportunities to connect, have fun, and make lasting memories together.

We are so grateful for the time, effort, and dedication that went into making these nights such a success. Thank you for helping create such meaningful experiences for our Graham Academy families! 💙

🎭✨ The spotlight was shining bright at our Luzerne Talent Show!

Talent Show is all about celebrating our students and the things that make each of them unique. Whether they performed on stage, cheered on their classmates, or stepped outside their comfort zone, every student played a part in making the day memorable.

The courage, enthusiasm, and joy that filled the room were truly inspiring. We loved seeing our students express themselves, support one another, and have fun while creating lasting memories.

As another incredible school year comes to a close, the teachers and staff of Mayfield, Kingston and Luzerne would like to wish all of our students and families a happy, healthy, and safe summer! ☀️🌻

Our students had an absolute blast dancing, laughing, and playing their way through mountains of foam during the Foam Party! From huge smiles to unforgettable memories, it was the perfect way to celebrate summer fun with our school family.

Thank you to everyone who came to support our students at the Kingston elementary Talent Show!

Our students amazed us with their creativity, courage, and unique talents. From magic acts and singing performances to musical instruments, basketball skills, cup stacking, reading, and drawing, and every performer who took the stage. We are so proud of each and every student who participated and shared their talents with our school community.

A special congratulations goes out to Ms. Rosie, who was recognized as Teacher of the Year, and Mr. Harold, who was honored as Staff Member of the Year. Both are so deserving of these awards and make a lasting impact on the lives of our students every day.

Thank you to all of our students, families, and staff who helped make this event such a success. Moments like these remind us how talented, supportive, and amazing our Graham community truly is! 💙🌟

Mayfield transformed into a carnival full of excitement, adventure, and endless smiles! From games and prizes to tasty treats and time spent with friends, our students had a fantastic day enjoying all the fun that Carnival Day had to offer!

Events like these remind us how important it is to create opportunities for our students to laugh, connect, and make unforgettable memories. The joy and enthusiasm throughout the day were truly contagious!

🎡🎠 Carnival Day Fun! 🎠🎡
What an amazing day at our Kingston and Luzerne locations! Our students had an absolute blast enjoying games, prizes, treats, music, and so many smiles. Seeing the excitement, laughter, and joy on their faces made the day truly special.

A huge thank you to our staff and everyone who helped make Carnival Day such a success. Events like these create wonderful memories and give our students opportunities to celebrate, connect, and have fun together.

We are so grateful for our incredible school community and can’t wait to do it at Mayfield this week ! ❤️🎪✨

We are beyond excited and incredibly grateful to announce that through our “Light It Up Blue” event, we raised $3,000 to donate to the Wyoming Valley Challengers Baseball League! 💙⚾

This would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our students, families, staff, and community. Your kindness and participation helped make a meaningful impact for an organization that provides opportunities, inclusion, and unforgettable experiences for so many athletes.

Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, and helped spread awareness during Autism Acceptance Month. We are so proud to support such an inspiring league and can’t wait to continue making a difference together!
