đź’™ A Great Night with the Sem Community! đź’™

What a wonderful evening at last night’s Alumni Council Happy Hour at PRIME!
It was great to bring together alumni, parents, faculty and staff for an evening of conversation, connection and Sem spirit. We especially loved seeing so many generations of Blue Knights together, with alumni in attendance ranging from the Class of 1957 to the Class of 2022!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a great one. Events like this are a wonderful reminder that no matter when you graduated, the Sem community continues to bring people together.

We’re looking forward to many more opportunities to connect throughout the year!

From the halls of Sem to the Philadelphia Fringe Festival!

Wyoming Seminary alumnus Joe Torsella ’81, former Pennsylvania State Treasurer and founding president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, is returning to his theatrical roots with his first one-man show, Declaration. The original production, written and performed by Joe, explores citizenship, public service, and the enduring meaning of the Declaration of Independence.

Joe’s connection to the stage began during his time at Wyoming Seminary, where he staged productions as a teenager and recruited longtime friend and fellow Sem alum Nick Stuccio '81—who would later co-found the Philadelphia Fringe Festival—to audition. Stuccio now serves as executive producer of Declaration.

Declaration runs September 10–20 at the Arden Theatre in Philadelphia as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.

We love seeing where the Sem experience takes our alumni. Congratulations, Joe!

Check out this great feature below on Tim O'Donnell '99, one of the world's top triathletes. This feature was written by David Bass '84, who is also a standout triathlete himself and a pillar in the local triathlon and racing community as an event organizer and supporter of local races.

For local multi-sport athletes, 2019 is a year many will remember. Some gathered in groups across the Wyoming Valley, watching their computer screens and cheering wildly as an American did the seemingly impossible at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

Despite temperatures that felt more like March than May — and even a little hail — the Wyoming Seminary Open in Memory of Rusty Flack ’72 on Friday, May 8 was filled with great golf, laughter, and camaraderie. Thank you to everyone who braved the elements and made it such a memorable day honoring Rusty’s legacy.

Congratulations to our winning foursome: Jamie Anzalone ’98, Frank Nockley ’20, David Janerich ’05, and Jon Janerich ’07! 🏌️‍♂️⛳👏

Saturday of Alumni Weekend 2026 was filled with meaningful moments, reconnecting, and plenty of fun across campus!

The day began with campus tours, breakfast in Fleck Hall, and the annual Memorial Service at the Church of Christ Uniting honoring classmates from reunion years who have passed away.

Activities continued throughout the afternoon with lunch under the tent on Back Campus, followed by a pottery class with Upper School Art Teacher Colleen Ayers, a hands-on presentation by Sem’s Robotics Club, and a tennis round robin led by faculty member Jill Carrick.

Later that evening, reunion classes gathered at the President’s home and the Head of Upper School’s home for cocktail receptions. During the reception at the President’s home, Janet Murray ’76 was presented with the Alumni Association Award in recognition of her unselfish and dedicated service to the School. Alumni then came together under the tent for dinner, celebrating, dancing, and reminiscing late into the evening.

A wonderful time was had by all! Stay tuned — photo IDs are still to come.
