🧤 PPE Practice in Action! 🦠

Our DE Nursing Service students were hands-on today learning the proper way to don and doff PPE! And what better way to test their skills than a little shaving cream “contamination”?

They learned quickly that proper technique matters when it comes to protecting themselves and their patients.

Learning, laughing, and building healthcare skills one glove at a time! 💙🧡

Today at HOSA ILC, we explored the body with Starla’s Hands-on sessions! The workshops today were all amazing!!! Some pin trading may have also taken place.

We finished Day 1 with some lightening and a downpour. This year’s International Leadership Conference was amazing. We have the opportunity to be apart of approximately 15,000 HOSA members that have come to Indianapolis this week.

Congratulations to another one of our seniors, Bennett Brown-Turnage!

We are excited to celebrate her outstanding achievement of passing the ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians)! Watching her put in the time, effort, and determination to reach this goal has been incredible. She balanced everything that comes with senior year while staying focused on her future in healthcare. This wasn’t easy, but she made it happen!

Roane County HOSA students wanted to show our appreciation for our school nurses during Nurses’ Week. Members collected goodies and provided baskets for our school nurses at Midtown Elementary, Kingston Elementary, Cherokee Middle, Midtown Educational Center, and Roane County High School.

Congratulations to one of our seniors, Jayden Gann!

We are so proud to celebrate his incredible achievement of passing the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam! This is a major milestone and a testament to his hard work, dedication, and commitment to persuing a future in healthcare.

Balancing senior year while preparing for a rigorous certification is no small task, and he rose to the challenge! This accomplishment opens the door to exciting opportunities in the medical field, and we can’t wait to see all that he achieves!
