Kia Abilay is an interfaith minister, Reiki master and Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, a therapeutic modality endorsed by the American Holistic Nursing Association. A brief list of her qualifications includes Oneness Deeksha Blessing Certification, certification as a Magical Awakening Practitioner, certification in Dragon Pearl Process and certification as a Healing Touch Practitioner with Healing Touch International and the Healing Touch Program. Kia also studied with internationally known intuitive Vianna. In 2010, Kia graduated from One Spirit Interfaith Seminary and is ordained as an Interfaith Interspiritual Minister. She has a 2008 BA in Humanities from San Francisco’s New College of California with an emphasis on Healing, Ecology & Sustainable Community. She was certified by the Colorado Center for Healing Touch in Lakewood, CO in 1997 as a Healing Touch Practitioner building on her earlier 1994 certification as a Nurse’s Aide in Hawaii. In addition to her healing work, Kia is the creator and designer of the CHAKRA BEAR and TAI CHI TIGER, part of her concept of an Ark of Empowering Animals. Her products and coloring books have illuminated the lives of many children around the world.

Dear Beloved Friends of Kia, we are inviting you to join those who love her in a Celebration of Life to take place on her birthday, May 2nd at 6pm. It will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church in Kingston, NY. Guided by Kia's dear friend, Rev. Shirley Nelson, we'll honor Kia's life through ceremony, invite loved ones to share words and memories of Kia, gather for coffee/tea and sweets, and then you'll have the opportunity to walk the Church's beautiful labyrinth, a favorite pastime of Kia's, in honor of her eternal soul. Please note, that as of today, masks are required within the Church.

If you'd like to make a donation in Kia's name, she was a regular supporter of Angel Food East, whose mission of community care, assists neighbors in need by bringing nutritious, delicious food and friendship to their doors. Angel Food East often fills the gap, serving those who do not qualify for assistance or may need some help for a short period of time. www.angelfoodeast.org/donate
