Wrapping up this week with intros of one of our trio-led groups for Leadership Institute 2026. Meet Maggie Robinson ‘29, Ange Lopolito ‘29, and CJ Donohue ‘28, here for TEAM PINK! 🧠👚👛🐷🐽🌸🎀💕
Maggie (she,her) is a Public Health major with a Leadership Studies minor from East Providence, RI.
Fun Fact: I am a group exercise instructor at URI.
Institute: I am excited to meet all the incoming students!
Ange (she/they) is a double major in Environmental Education and Animal Science and calls Saint Louis, MO home.
Fun fact: I have a jewelry business (AngeCore Accessories).
Institute: I’m excited to help make the Leadership Institute incredible for the incoming first-year students like my peer leaders did for me!
CJ has been introduced already as one of our Development Coordinators, and will also be working with Team Pink. So you don’t have to scroll: Sports Media and Public Relations with a minor in Leadership Studies, and is from Lacey, NJ.
More thoughts on Institute: My favorite part is meeting the first-years for the first time and getting to know them. The days ahead after they come off that bus for Institute is the opportunity to make an impact and it’s the best part of this experience.

Alfredo (he, him) is a Biomedical Engineering major with minors in Math and Leadership Studies. He calls Carmel, NY his hometown.
Caitlin (she, her) is from Shelton, CT. She is a Human Development & Family Science major with minors in General (elementary) Education and Leadership Studies.
Fun Fact: I am a 3rd degree black belt.

Maya (she, her) is double majoring in Marketing and Public Relations, with a minor in Leadership Studies. She is from Plymouth, MA.

Ray is a major in General Business Administration with two minors: Leadership Studies and Entrepreneurship, from Cranston, RI.

New week, new color group to introduce! Meet our 2026 Leadership Institute Peer Leaders, Jorja Sunila ‘28 and Emre Barbosa ‘29, representing TEAM TEAL! 🤖🧚👗🩴🩱🛼🪣🩵 (it’s honestly hard to tell what emojis are teal)
Jorja (she, her) is a double major in History and Public Relations with a minor in Leadership Studies. Her hometown is Naperville, IL.
Fun fact: I love TLC Coffee Roasters and recommend a Large Iced Vanilla Chai with Toasted Marshmallow and a Red Velvet muffin.
Institute: I am so excited to connect with my first-year students and work as a team on the North Woods Challenge Course!
Emre is a Mechanical Engineering and Spanish double major and a Robotics minor from East Bridgewater, MA.
Fun fact: I’ve traveled to 10 states and 3 countries so far.
Institute: I’m most excited to meet all the incoming first-year students and to have a great time at Institute.

Julia (she, her) is a double major in Neuroscience and Psychology, with minors in Leadership Studies and the Honors Program.
Institute: I am most excited to meet my color team and everyone coming to Leadership Institute!
Quinn (he, him) has majors in Environmental & Natural Resource Economics and General Business Administration, AND Minors in Leadership Studies and Spanish AND Certificate in Energy Economics and Policy. His hometown is Lancaster, PA.
Fun fact: I trail ran Mt. Washington in the May shoulder season! [Author’s note: If you’re not sure what shoulder season is, be sure to ask Quinn like I had to!]
Institute: I am most excited about getting to revisit the Institute from a new perspective and meet the future of URI Leadership!

Today we have our final two Development Coordinators for this year’s Leadership Institute: Sadie Song ‘28 and Kieton Nunes ‘27.
Sadie (she, her) is majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology on a general track. She is from North Providence, RI.
Fun fact: I am a firm believer in pineapple belonging on pizza!!! (Do not want to hear otherwise) 🍍➕🍕
Institute: I am most excited to take a step forward into my new role as a DC by mentoring new PLs and working with first-year students again!
Kieton is a Communication Disorders major pursuing a minor in special populations, and with a hometown in West Warwick, RI.
Fun fact: I’m secretly an award winning short story writer. ✍️
Institute: I’m most excited to be back at the institute for my 4th and final year to give the incoming students one of the most valuable experiences that I was given during my first year.
Author’s Commentary: If you’ve been reading our captions, you know Sadie and our pro staffer Victoria will need their own pizzas. And Kieton… it’s not so secret anymore.
Also not a secret: Participants will get updates and find out their color groups TOMORROW so check your URI email and read everything thoroughly. Then come back here next week as we start to roll out the Peer Leader intros for each color group!

Institute: I am most excited for the first time meeting the first year students.
Emily G (she, her), is a Kinesiology major with minors in Leadership Studies and Neuroscience. Her hometown is Londonderry, NH.
