Join Hope’s Harvest THIS TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13 for the last installment of the URI Fall 2022 Honors Colloquium lecture series! We will be gathering for a watch party and discussion of Dr. Ricardo Salvador’s lecture “The 21st Century Food System We Deserve”. Salvador is director of the Food & Environment Program at the . He will discuss working with citizens, scientists, economists and politicians to move the food system into one that grows and produces healthy foods while employing sustainable and equitable practices. The lecture is co-sponsored by the .

REMINDER! Agricultural and food justice advocate Vanessa García Polanco ’18 will present at the 2022 University of Rhode Island Honors Colloquium on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. in Edwards Auditorium. Her talk, “The Exception and Not the Norm: Becoming an Agricultural and Food Justice Advocate" is the second presentation of the fall series, “Just Good Food,” which will be presented in person and streamed live (video links available on the day of each event by visiting: uri.edu/hc/2022-just-good-food). The first event of CFH's "Re:Envisioning Nature: An Environmental Humanities Lecture Series" happens this Wednesday, September 21st at 4pm!
