Staff, clients, families, and members of our community rallied together this month to help us collect items to fill our Packs of Positivity. Today, as we close out Developmental Disability Awareness Month, we took our clients to the Heartwood Center, a day shelter and resource hub for individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity, to hand out our packs.
Here are a few photos from the month-long initiative. We are so grateful for the generosity of so many!

On March 24th Reaching Beyond Limits officially celebrated 11 years of providing services to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.
In the years leading up to our beginning, our founders, Amy Hartman and Robyn Ruckle, had an idea to provide a safe space for a young man transitioning out of high school; because of that act of kindness and selflessness we now provide opportunities to hundreds of individuals like Anthony.
Today we employ 135 (and counting) dedicated professionals across the entire northeast. On behalf of all the people who have had their lives changed, I want to say thank you Amy & Robyn for making the choices you did. The world is a better place, and I am a better human because of you.
— With love and gratitude, your Chief Executive Officer, Annie.

From Victoria Bernstein, our Employment Division Coordinator:
“This week, my heart was warmed watching our clients shop through our new Reaching Beyond Limits Career Closet — selecting outfits and leaving with bags full of clothing to help them feel confident and prepared for future opportunities.
This initiative wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my incredible leaders, Annie M. Higgins, MLS, SHRM-CP and Sheryl Charbonneau, who encouraged me to spearhead this project and gave me the space to turn a small idea into a reality for our clients.
A huge thank you also goes to Allyson Thomas , who is always right by my side in everything we do. Your support, teamwork, and encouragement made this all the more special.
I’m also grateful for our amazing Employment Division team — Lisa Umbra, Mariah Starks, Vigie Parades, and Kate Mohr— who make working in this department such a privilege. The dedication and collaboration within our team are what drive these opportunities forward.
And most importantly, thank you to Matthew Ide , our primary L-EARN instructor, who is preparing our clients every day with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workforce. This Career Closet pairs perfectly with the training he provides — together, we’re helping clients take their next steps toward independence and success.
At Reaching Beyond Limits, we believe that confidence is the first step toward opportunity — and now our clients have access to both the training and the resources to move forward with pride.”
