September 26th is HR Professionals Day and at RBL we have the most talented and dedicated team of HR people around; they are the cornerstone reason why RBL is such an amazing place to work

A special thank you to Shea Klimek, our Human Resources Director, whose compassion and commitment to our people help shape the culture of our organization every day.

Thank you to Rielly Miller, our Recruiter and HR Assistant, for connecting us with outstanding talent and supporting both new and current team members with care and professionalism.

We would also like to recognize Clarissa Davis, our Executive Assistant, and Matt Patterson, our Operations Manager, whose partnership, organization, and support contribute greatly to the success of our Human Resources team and overall operations.

Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to Elaina Miller from RBL Behavioral Health who plays a crucial role as an HR Assistant. Your willingness to step in, support your team, and help wherever needed makes a tremendous difference.

For the past three months, the staff and consumers of RBL's Day Program have been working together on a remarkable collaborative mural comprised of sixty individual canvases, each contributing to one beautiful masterpiece.

Tonight, we had the privilege of unveiling their hard work and creativity to family members, caregivers, and friends. The project was a true reflection of the talent, dedication, and teamwork that make our community so special.

It was especially meaningful to have both of RBL's co-founders, Amy Hartman & Robyn Lynn with us as we celebrated the completion of this inspiring project.

DSP Appreciation Week is held every year in September. Providers across the country recognize it. Although many roles are needed to run an organization like Reaching Beyond Limits, the DSP is one of the most critical yet often overlooked roles.

What is a Direct Support Professional? They are trained caregivers who work directly with individuals with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities to help them live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Since 2015, we have hired and celebrated our DSPs, from the co-founders who were the first RBL DSPs, Amy & Robyn, then our first officially hired DSP, Clarissa Davis, to today, a team of 18 full-time Day Program Direct Support Professionals. We continue to recognize the effort, time, and love given.

On Monday, we began the week with a video of DSPs over the years, beginning with our co-founders, Amy & Robyn, highlighting our longest-tenured staff who have been promoted and grown from DSPs into new roles while still making an impression. Tuesday afternoon, we treated our DSPs to “dirty sodas.” Wednesday, we handed out awards. Thursday, we gave out paid time off. On Friday, we gave the DSPs a paid afternoon off to do what they wanted while the Leadership Team and Administrative Support Team handled their daily tasks.

➡️ Clarissa Davis, hired in August 2015 as a DSP, now plays a crucial role as Executive Assistant and is relied upon to support all operations.

☑️ Brad Rusnock, hired in February 2016 as a DSP, is now our Operations Officer.

✳️ Then, Brian Kuklewicz, hired in June 2016 as a DSP, has moved into a trusted Incident, Safety, and Quality Manager role.

🔆 Andy Kovalski, Caleb Bellas, and Sue Brandenburg were all DSPs and now provide Behavior Services as BSCs.

💟 Jennifer Olshefski & Danielle Billings began their journey with RBL as DSPs and are now our Full-Time Program Specialists.

💎 Shea Klimek joined us as an HR Intern, accepted a role as a DSP after graduating from college, and is now our Director of Human Resources.

🎯 In 2019, we hired Melanie Fisher as a DSP; today, she is our fearless leader at the Day Program, leading the team every day in providing quality, compassionate direct support to the consumers who attend our Day Program.

Working Beyond Limits 2026 has come to an end, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it special. Your participation, whether as a participant, worksite partner, job coach, or supporter, truly made a difference. A special shoutout to OVR, MHDS, Rodano's, WBRE, Mayor George Brown, and especially the amazing team from Reaching Beyond Limits, who helped create summer work opportunities for over 80 students across Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. Our collaboration with OVR and MHDS has been the cornerstone of our success, and we feel so grateful for the chance to work together.

We’re excited to share photos from our fun-filled end-of-summer party, along with the slideshow that was enjoyed that day. WBL 2026 marked our fifth year offering valuable work experiences to our community, and all I can say is WOW! Thank you all so much for making this possible.

Today, our consumers enjoyed a "gone fishin'" day at Frances Slocum State Park and at Day Program.

We want to extend a special thank you to the activities crew at RBL for continuously improving the lives of our participants. There is always something exciting to look forward to!
