Our Studio B had an impromptu makeover before this season started 💗
Just 5 years ago this studio room was actually our lobby area. Due to our growth we had this space transformed into another studio room.
This may be our small studio room but it’s so special and holds some of the biggest moments for our ODC dancers🤎
This is where our tiniest of dancers ~ twinkle toes and fresh fellas ~ have their first class- make their first dance moves- It may be their first real time away from their parents- where their first friendships with the same age happens- where a nervous student warms up and feels safe and finally smiles and giggles- where they explore and learn the basics of dance and movement and how to express themselves- and where they learn their first recital dance 💞
This room is also where our older dancers work on making their technique precise.
It’s where privates weekly take place as students work on perfecting and learning new skills, and gaining confidence.
And it also is where some deep and impactful moments happen whether it be a student needing encouragement, a break away from everyone, or to talk about life outside of the dance studio. Where a student’s mind may be clouded by doubts or stress from the day, etc and hopefully the reminders on the wall can give them a glimmer of light and positivity.
Five years ago when we transformed this room our staff at the time wrote words and hopes that we prayed every dancer would have planted in their minds and hearts and would feel and know when being in that space. It’s so special knowing those words and prayers are still behind the layers of paint and mirrors and makes it such a sweet, permanent reminder of what Outpour’s biggest desires are. It’s so much more than a room with four walls where dance is taught. My goal for the room was wanting it to feel bigger and brighter! It’s a special and sweet space and this makeover helps show just that 🫶🏼
