🍎🔬 SEPTEMBER SCIENCE: WILL AN APPLE SINK OR FLOAT? 🔬🍎
Our little scientists are exploring apples and harvest time through a fun, hands-on experiment!
First, the children will look closely at a whole apple, an apple slice, a leaf, a stem, and a seed. We will make predictions, carefully place each item in water, and discover what sinks and what floats.
While we experiment, we will:
🍏 Practice making predictions
🍎 Count apples from 6 to 10
🍏 Explore red, yellow, and green
🍎 Talk about round and oval shapes
🍏 Use our September words: “We like science!”
🍎 Practice kindness by sharing, waiting, and taking turns
We will finish by cutting open an apple to examine its skin, flesh, core, and seeds. The children can use magnifying glasses, create apple prints with washable paint, and enjoy a supervised apple-tasting activity.
Science for ages 3–5 should be simple, joyful, and filled with discovery! As we learn, we will thank God for apples, changing seasons, and all the wonderful things He created. 🍂
