Congratulations to Lennon on being named Northeast State Community College’s first Paramedic Preceptor of the Year!
For well over 15 years, Lennon has been serving our region and, for the majority of that time, has dedicated himself to mentoring and educating Northeast State paramedic students.

If you’ve worked in EMS in our region, there’s a good chance that one of the paramedics beside you were trained by Lennon. Year after year, he continues to invest in students, challenge them to grow, and help develop them into the best providers they can be, not only for their individual careers, but for the communities they serve.
Preceptors like Lennon are a huge part of what makes our program great. Their experience, dedication, and willingness to invest in the next generation of paramedics have an impact that extends far beyond the classroom and clinical setting.

Congratulations, Lennon, and thank you for everything you’ve done, and continue to do, for our students, our profession, and our region!

We would like to congratulate Scott on completing his very first week teaching as an adjunct faculty member for our EMT Basic class at Northeast State Community College.
Scott brings more than 25 years of EMS experience to our program, with much of that time dedicated to teaching and mentoring future EMS professionals. He also spent multiple years assisting with EMT classes through Bristol Tennessee Fire Department before retiring earlier this year.

We are extremely fortunate to have Scott as part of our team. His knowledge, experience, and dedication to EMS education are a tremendous asset to our students.

We are excited to watch Scott lead his first class all the way through graduation at Northeast State Community College.

Congratulations on a great first week, Scott, and we look forward to seeing all that you accomplish with our program.

🚑✈️ TEMSEA IS RETURNING TO LONDON! 🇬🇧

What if your next EMS learning experience took you across the Atlantic?

TEMSEA is excited to facilitate an unforgettable Study Abroad experience in London, England, March 6–13, 2027! This isn’t your typical conference or continuing education course. Participants will have the opportunity to experience healthcare and EMS from an entirely new perspective, including learning about the UK healthcare system, paramedic education, advanced paramedic roles, mental health integration, and disaster preparedness.

And perhaps the most exciting part? Participants will have the opportunity to complete a clinical observation experience alongside a London Ambulance Service, seeing firsthand how emergency care is delivered in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.

The experience will also include visits to St George’s University, a guided medical history walking tour, and opportunities to explore some of London’s most iconic cultural and educational destinations.

What an incredible journey it has been for the graduating Paramedic Cohort of 2025-2026!

You have put in countless hours of studying, training, practicing, and pushing yourselves beyond what you thought possible. You have faced challenges, supported one another, and grown into capable, compassionate professionals who are ready to make a difference when it matters most.

This week was more than the end of the program. It is the beginning of a career built on service, courage, teamwork, and a commitment to helping others.

We are proud of each and every one of you and excited to see where this profession takes you.

Congratulations, Class of 2026–2027. You earned this moment. Now go do great things!

Northeast State is excited to host the Tennessee EMS Ventilator Update to help providers meet the new state requirements.

Course Dates:

August 17 or August 18 (attend only one day)
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Kingsport Center for Higher Education
Critical Care Paramedics are also welcome to attend to earn Critical Care CEUs. Simply select the CEU option during registration.
Please register at least 48 hours before your preferred class date using the link below.

Participants renewing their Tennessee EMS Ventilator certification will need to submit the required documentation as part of the registration process. Details are included on the registration form.

Today, we proudly congratulate the dual enrolled high school students at Science Hill on successfully completing their State EMT Basic Practical Exam.

Your dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm for EMS are truly inspiring. The commitment each of you has shown throughout this journey will not only make you outstanding providers, but will also strengthen the communities you will serve. The future of EMS is brighter because of you.

We would also like to recognize the incredible instructor behind this group, Mr. Philbrick. Your guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support have made a lasting impact on these students. You have poured your heart into this program, and it clearly shows through the confidence, professionalism, and success of your students. This achievement would not have been possible without your dedication.

A special thank you also goes to Brandon Archer at WCJC EMS for everything he has done to support the clinical portion of these students’ education. Your mentorship, time, and commitment helped provide these students with valuable real-world experience that has been instrumental in their success.
