Q. A. Q.

How old do you have to be? To tryout for our team we require you to be 16+. However we do offer those 13+ to compete in a few of our festival tournaments. Q.What do I need to bring? We provide all the equipment you may need, we ask that you dress as you would for an outdoor athletic activity. closed shoes are also required. Q.How much does it cost? A.We are a nonprofit organization so we don't cha

rge our students to be a part of this team. We only require that they commit to the team, classes and events. Although we do accept donations of any kind. Do I need any experience? No prior experience is needed, we will teach you. We do ask that you have an athletic drive our team focuses highly on creating athletic competitive athletes and we do push ourselves physically all the time. Q.Can my friend/family member watch me practice? We don't allow spectators at our classes for multiple reasons. However they are always welcome at any events we do as we are a very close and family oriented team. Q.When and where are tryouts? Tryouts are held every February and September in Kingsport TN. They are on Monday and Wednesday from 6pm-9pm, we require that you come to a minimum of 3 tryout days to qualify. Q.What styles do you teach? A.We teach a wide range of weapons combat and are always trying to add new types to our arsenal. Some of the styles we teach are, Sword and Buckler, sword and shield, rapier,pole weapons and much more. Q.Why do you call Everblade Academy a HEMA team? A.We consider ourselves a team for many reasons. We do work together to become the best athletes we can be and send fighters to compete in competition but it's much more than that. A team is defined as a group of people who perform interdependent tasks to work toward accomplishing a common mission or specific objective. In that sense we are constantly working twords many common goals and we do so as a close group that raises each other up to reach those goals whatever they may be.

Since we have started our team we have always had fighter personalities. This was mostly something that was just for the the team but we always had the idea to expand upon it.
Well finally we did and we are excited to share it with you all. Each of our fighters had a game card made for them that is the embodiment of who they are as a fighter. We will be adding these fight characters to our event shows as well as a option to get your hands on these one of a kind cards representing your favorite ones. Our goal is to present all of this at RobCon in October so your not going to want to miss it.

FREE Historical Weapons Lessons
Ever wondered how a claymore was wielded? Curious about Celtic shields or basket-hilted swords? During the open lesson hour, fighters will answer your questions and teach the basics of historical Celtic weapons. All ages are welcome with a signed waiver!

Historical Combat Demonstrations
Watch history come alive as Everblade showcases the weapons and fighting styles of the Celtic world. Expect demonstrations featuring:
