A huge THANK YOU to all of our students, staff, and families who participated in Mad Hatter Day for our Camden Reads initiative! We saw so many incredible, creative, and silly hats across campus today!

🚨 Sound the alarm for Fire Safety Week! 🚒

Last week, Ms. Bateson’s Pre-K class had some very special guests! Local heroes from Kingsland Fire & Rescue stopped by to teach our littlest learners all about fire safety.

Our students had a blast learning how to:
🔥 Stop, Drop, and Roll
📞 Know when and how to call 911
👨‍🚒 See what firefighters look like in full protective gear so they never feel scared in an emergency

🍎 Little Scientists at Work! 🔬

Our Pre-K students rolled up their sleeves for a fun, hands-on experiment this week to answer a big question: How do we keep apples from turning brown?

The children placed apple slices into various liquids—including lemon juice, soda, and water—to test their hypotheses. The next day, they gathered around to observe, compare, and record their findings!

It was amazing to watch their observation skills in action as they discovered which liquids protect the apples best (hint: vitamin C is a powerhouse!). Early STEM learning has never been so sweet or colorful. 🍏✨
