It’s Homecoming Game Day, and students in Ms. Tatangelo’s Computers Theme class are getting into the Flivver spirit! 💙💛

Students put their keyboarding skills to the test using our very own KHS Fight Song Typing Game. It was a fun way to practice typing while making sure they’re ready to sing along tonight!

Think you know the KHS Fight Song? Test your typing skills and give it a try at: www.kingsford.org/fightsong

We’ll see you tonight! Go Flivvers! 💙🏈💛

A story came to life for Mrs. Braden’s first graders!

After reading about farm animals sneaking into a garden to gather ingredients and try new foods, the class headed out to the Woodland garden for an adventure of their own.

Students explored the garden, picked fresh vegetables, and used their harvest to make salsa for a classroom snack!

A fun (and tasty!) way to bring reading and hands-on learning together!

Ms. Johnson’s Early 5 students are getting excited for the new season! They put their creativity to work making their own colorful fall trees, complete with plenty of red, orange and yellow leaves.

We think these young artists are definitely ready for fall!

Great job, Early 5! 💙🍁💛

Before our Woodland teachers could welcome students back to school, they had to prove they were ready for anything!

During Back to School PD, staff took on the “Blindfolded Artist” challenge. One person had to draw an image they couldn’t see, relying only on verbal directions from their teammates, who weren’t allowed to say what the object actually was!

Come to think of it… trying to explain something without just giving away the answer? That sounds an awful lot like teaching elementary students!

Our Woodland staff had plenty of laughs while putting their communication, patience, teamwork, and direction-giving skills to the test.

After a few days with students back in the building, we’re happy to report they passed the test! 💙🚙💛
