Over twenty years of experience providing care and education to children in Kings Park. Sorry to say, at the current time, there are no openings.

As a day care provider for over twenty years, I believe that children thrive best in a stimulating, interactive, and age-appropriate environment. I feel that it is so important for children build self-esteem, feel a sense of connection, and learn basic life skills (sharing, cooperation, awareness) through social interaction and teaching moments. Our daycare family is growing within. Thank you for your interest and I will update you as things open up.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!

Miss Kathy's Family Group Daycare has been closed since March, 2020. I intentionally let my registration expire.

The good news is that, I will be returning in September as a legal two. I will be watching no more than two children per day. The market I am reaching out to is the infant. I will be the provider that will bridge personalized infant care to the daycare center environment. I understand too well the concerns of a new Mother, especially during a pandemic. I will offer continuity of care, less colds, one on one attention, feedings, diaper changing, tummy time, stroller walks. Help each child develop at their own pace, and help them reach their early milestones. My ideology is to run a child driven environment, with teaching moments through play. My parents will get continual updates, which will also be logged in each child's notebook.

Ms. Kathy's Family Daycare is closed indefinitely. I will be taking one month at a time. Bob and I are both in our 70's with underlying health conditions. We are shelter in place, and it would be too risky to open. My daughter is an er doctor in Nassau County. They are revving up for the worst. Our Government has not allocated enough monies to New York, which is the state that needs the most funding This puts us all at risk regarding resources and capacity. If my teacher's return to work in the near future, I will be unable to assist. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes you. All lives matter. Be safe. This is no joke. Young people people are dying too.

It's not my b'day. Lol. Just checking in to tell you guys how impressed I am with you guys. I am closely following your posts. My parents touched me deeply with their creativity and imagination displayed to keep their kids busy. Each family found ways to keep the kids calm in this new normal. The connection we share is a tremendous inner spirit and love. This was shown by drawing rainbows with colorful chalk on driveways, giving the kids an opportunity to feel their feelings. Teacher's offering their services with our home schooling. Thank you Jennifer Cohen. You are a true educator and advocate for children. Trish Papageorge thank you for putting a smile on my face with Alexandra's comedic performances. Of course, loved the muffins Charley made. The birthday parade of cars that passed one of their teammates house beeping horns wishing the bday boy fond wishes blew me away.

I spent some of my alone time decluttering. Went through dozens of photos of the children who passed through Ms. Kathy's. I also would like to share some memorable things I kept. I am currently looking for someone that can substitute for me when out of town. We are a well established daycare in Kings Park for 28 years. The kids in attendance, while I am away will all be over the age of 2yrs.. There will be no more than 6 kids present during the day, with two care givers. You would be under the direct supervision of the Onsite Provider. I am looking for coverage for Tuesday and Thursdays. Approximate hours would be from 10 to 5. I will be away a few weeks in October. If anyone knows someone that might be interested, you can pvt message me. Please keep in mind that my facility is under New York State guidelines. You will have to go through some clearances. Process not a big deal. Once your cleared, you will have the opportunity to make some extra cash. Thanks in advance for spreading the word.
