From feeding behaviors to fly tying! 🐟🎣 Our Natural Resources 2 students are learning how understanding wildlife’s diet connects to conservation and recreational fishing. THANK YOU to Gerald Klauss from NC Wildlife for bringing hands-on learning to our classroom! Stay tuned as we dive into recreational fishing later this month!

What’s the buzz in Ag class? 🐝 last week our level 2 animal science and natural resource students suited up and got an up-close look at the hives with special guest speaker, Rusty Earle!

Did you know…honey bees communicate the direction and distance of a food source to their hive-mates by performing a movement called the waggle dance???

Wood you look at that 👀🌲Kings Mountain FFA recently competed at the southwest regional forestry CDE that involved tree and tool identification, measuring sawtimber, and orienteering. We placed 8th overall and Gavin Mayhue placed 11th individually!

Special shoutout to forester Craig Oliver for taking the time to work with our team over the last month, we appreciate you!

💙💛 Officer Spotlight 💛💙

Hello! My name is Jaiden Earle, and I am a senior this year at Kings Mountain High School. I am so excited and honored to serve as your 2026–2027 FFA President! This will be my second year on the officer team and my fourth year in FFA. My favorite FFA activity is State Convention because I love meeting members from other schools, sharing ideas, making new friends, and seeing everything FFA has to offer. I am so excited to welcome all of our new members and see our returning members again! I hope we have an amazing year filled with fun activities, exciting meetings, new opportunities, and lots of great memories. A fun fact about me is that I love music and spending time with my friends. I can’t wait to meet all of you and work together to make the 2026–2027 FFA year a successful and memorable one!
