Skills day with our Kingman Fire Academy students! 🔥🚒🧑‍🚒

Students suited up in full turnout gear, donned SCBA air packs, and worked through a fitness circuit and stair climb, the same fundamentals firefighters rely on every shift. Days like this turn a classroom into a career path.

We had such a great time visiting Mr. Kramer's Occupations class at Lee Williams High School last week! We got to walk students through all the WAVE pathways available to them, and their questions to us were fantastic.

Then they surprised us with a stack of handwritten thank-you notes. We're not crying, you're crying. 🥹 Thank you for the warm welcome! We can't wait to see where these students go.

🔥 Day one is in the books!

This week, our 2026–27 Fire Academy cadets kicked off their first day at the WAVE Bullhead City Fire Department, starting with introductions from our instructors and Chief Flummer! They even did their very first 10 push-ups as a group. 💪

Over the next 10 months, these students will earn the certifications they need to pursue a career in Firefighting. Day one of many. Let's go!
