Recently, WAVE JTED Culinary Arts & Hospitality Campus welcomed students from Thunderbolt Middle School to our Central Campus. They got a behind-the-scenes look at our Culinary program, met our team, and learned about the hands-on opportunities waiting for them in high school. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

We loved seeing their excitement and can't wait to welcome them back as WAVE students in a few years! 🌊

🏆 Congratulations to our October WOWSA and WOW Award Winners! 🏆

Congratulations to our October WOWSA Award Winner, Camila Barajas!

Camila, a 9th grader at River Valley High School, is the first student to earn OSHA 10 certification in WAVE’s brand-new Construction program, and she did it with the highest score out of approximately 100 students! 👷‍♀️🔨
Safety is the foundation of every job site, and Camila is already setting the standard as a freshman. We can’t wait to see what she builds next!

Congratulations also to our October WOW Award Winner, Timothy Means!

Tim, a teacher at River Valley High School, has gone above and beyond his teaching duties by stepping up to lead the CTE department at River Valley and the Skills USA CTSO. He is working hard to help his students learn and develop valuable skills that they can use in and out of the classroom.

LHHS 8th Grade Showcase 🎉

Lake Havasu High School recently hosted a CTE 8th Grade showcase, and the students absolutely shined! 🌟

Our CTE student tour guides gave incoming 8th graders a real look at the career pathways waiting for them in high school. And our 8th grade visitors? They were engaged, curious, and did an outstanding job too! 👏

Moments like this are what CTE is all about: students stepping up as leaders and inspiring the next class.

A huge thank you to the LHHS CTE teachers and staff for the planning, hard work, and patience that went into the day, and for preparing your students to lead. Please join us in applauding 👏 these amazing student leaders! 💙
