Maine Mountain Children's House

Maine Mountain Children's House is a Montessori Preschool located in Kingfield, Maine. MMCH is a non-profit corporation licensed by the State of Maine.

The mission of Maine Mountain Children’s House (MMCH) is to provide a supportive and loving Montessori educational experience for young children which fosters respect and responsibility to self, others, and the earth.”

MMCH serves children ages 18 months through six years old through two major programs - Toddler and Primary. The Primary classroom serves children ages two and a half through six ye

ars old, and the Toddler classroom is for children ages 18 to 36 months. Both classrooms are carefully prepared environments that emphasize development of the whole child utilizing the Montessori Method. MMCH Lead teachers are trained and certified in Montessori education, and guide the children in learning and self discovery. MMCH also offers an After School Care (ASC) Program to enrolled students, as well as siblings and alumni from Kingfield Elementary school. ASC is primarily outdoors and centers around free play and creativity after a busy school day.

Things to check off the summer bucket list...

🎃 Grow giant pumpkins
💰 Learn about cash flow & sales with the MMCH Snack Shack
🚲 Ride all of the bikes (or inchworms)
🍽 Eat lunch outside as much as possible
💦 Big splashes in the splash pad
⛏ Build the "MMCH Water Park" (aka, dig a small trench and fill it with water to see how far it will go"

🎉 Come see us at Kingfield Days today!

Stop by the Maine Mountain Children’s House booth and say hello! We’ll have face painting, bubbles, a water table, and more for the kids to enjoy, so be sure to bring the whole family!

There are lots of activities for kids, great local vendors, delicious food, and plenty of family fun throughout the day. We can’t wait to see familiar faces, meet new friends, and celebrate our wonderful community together!

MMCH Summer Program is off to a wonderful start! ☀️🍉 We’re a week and a half in and have gotten tons of outside time, used so many bubbles, rearranged our outdoor space (check out that awesome sun sail!), and got the MMCH Snack Shack up and running this afternoon! We’re excited for the summer ahead and can’t wait to show you all we get up too over the next few weeks!

✨Special shout out to and for tackling the sun sail installation, to all at for getting our yard ready for summer time, and to for your Snack Shack expertise! We’re lucky to have such a wonderful community supporting us!
