King City is a small, rural, farming community on California's Central Coast. Centrally located, we are within one hours drive of the beautiful Monterey Peninsula and the Paso Robles Wine Country. Our district serves approximately 2,544 students (Preschool to 8th grade). KCUSD values and finds strength in our diversity. Our classrooms are equipped with Technology available in every classroom (Promethean Boards, Document Cameras, and Chromebooks for all students). We have a 1 to 1 ratio of Chromebooks to students in our district. The district provides Para-Educator support in all our Pre-school, TK, Kindergarten, and Special Education Classrooms. We also have class size reduction in all K-3 grades. The district has also set up valuable partnerships with Pro-Youth, Harmony at Home, Monterey County Behavioral Health, and Monterey County Office of Education to provide valuable services for our students.
