Have you been beating yourself up and feeling hopeless?

You're not alone. So many of us have been there. 💜

In Episode 124 of the Fibromyalgia Podcast®, Kim shares her powerful story and lots of wisdom nuggets. She says:

"I have empathy for the hopelessness, for maybe the self-medicating, for the beating yourself up because you couldn't be all you wanted to be to everyone you love during the season. For just being at the end of yourself. You might be considering, oh, all the different things you could do for a New Year's resolution and just setting yourself up maybe for what hasn't worked before, it's probably not gonna work again."

"But the whole 'uproot misinformation' [prayer]... Maybe just be willing to reach out and ask for help from people who have been where you are but are not there anymore, who are ahead of you on that journey."

"There's so much you can do... but don't be afraid to do something so completely different. Allow someone into your life like a coach that can begin to just help you navigate this because you just shouldn't be having to do this alone."

If you're ready to try something different, begin by scheduling a consultation with a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®. 💜 To schedule online, visit:

"All my life, it's just been really important to give back. I have found that in the work I did before fibromyalgia — when I ran a nonprofit, to now being able to give back to my own community, the community that I feel like has given so much to me — that means everything."

"I find that as I'm coaching clients, it's a part of my continued healing, right? I know that there's so many people ahead of me on this journey. I get to be a part of this great community where I can look ahead and see people who are living either mostly symptom free or completely symptom free."

"But there's a whole lot of people behind us on this path that are where I was a year, a year and a half ago. They are feeling unseen, they're isolating, they are self-medicating. They are feeling like there's no hope, right?"

"I want to be a light, I want to be able to go back and shine a light in someone else's darkness and just to say, 'I'm here. I see you, I get it. There's hope."'

These are the powerful words of Kim Osborne, Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® — and I couldn't have said it any better! 💥

Maybe you've been thinking about how you can let your light shine. Maybe you want to use what you've learned on your own fibromyalgia journey to help someone who's still where you once were.

“You're not alone. It's so much easier being on this journey when you find that community of support.”

In Episode 124 of the Fibromyalgia Podcast®, Kim Osborne shares what led her to finding our community and becoming a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®. She says:

"We have had to be our own advocates for so long, and I felt like a lot of the things — like becoming the health coach, becoming the yoga instructor — a lot of that was me always like carving out my own way.

"But when I connected with you, Tami, it was like all of a sudden I tapped into this community and I began to see that I wasn't going to have to do all the work... being seen, being understood on those phone calls, that was a breath of fresh air."

Then Kim shared this message for you:

"If you're just out there feeling like maybe this is all in your head or that you just are too sensitive, or that you just need to exercise more, or you just need to eat better or do enough yoga. That's just not the answer. You're not alone. It's so much easier being on this journey when you find that community of support that can offer the education and the accountability in coaching."

If you're ready to tap into our community, like Kim did, schedule a consultation with a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®. We all have fibromyalgia and have been where you are. 💜 To schedule online, visit:

ONE YEAR BREAKTHROUGH TO FIBROMYALGIA HEALING
Special Guest: Kim Osborne

This week's episode in our Summer Replay Series is Episode 124 of the Fibromyalgia Podcast®. 🎧

So often, we overestimate what we can do in a few weeks, but underestimate what we can accomplish in a year.

Kim came to me in September 2022 because she was really struggling. She was at the end of her resources and at the end of her rope.

She had tried everything she knew to try. She had supportive providers she loved, but they weren't able to give her the help she needed for her fibromyalgia.

Her life was shrinking, and even the things that used to help her cope with her pain and symptoms weren't working anymore.

Kim had even become a health coach and yoga instructor so she could learn everything she could about nutrition and exercise.

But even with eating a really clean diet and doing all that yoga... Kim still felt miserable.

That's when she reached out to me.

Today's conversation was recorded a little more than a year after Kim and I first met — and you'll hear just how much changed in that year.

Her fibromyalgia was under control. She'd found providers who could help her and a new community of support.

And today, Kim is a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® herself. 💜

What can change in a year?

Listen to Kim's story and find out.

Today's comes from Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® and nurse Gisèle McDiarmid. She says:

"I went from a crisis to living a full life again — and you can do it too! When you know what to do and how to do it, and have support and encouragement, your life will be beautiful again."

I especially love Gisèle's reminder that we don't have to figure all of this out by ourselves.

There ARE things you can do to improve your fibromyalgia symptoms. Sometimes the hardest part is figuring out what to do, how to do it in a way that works for your body, and what to focus on first.

That's exactly where having the right support can make such a difference.

If you'd like some help figuring out your next steps, schedule a consultation with a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®.

Helping you find hope — and new ways to feel better — is one of our favorite things to do. 🌸

If you or someone you love has ever felt dismissed, misunderstood, or stuck in your body with no answers... this conversation is for you. 💜

This clip is from one of my favorite interviews — my conversation with Ashley Henriott on the Confidence and Coffee Podcast.

Ashley and I talk about:

✨ What fibromyalgia actually is — and why it's so often misunderstood

✨ How trauma, stress, and chronic pain can be connected

✨ The practical framework I developed that changed my life, and now helps others do the same

✨ What to do when doctors say, “There's nothing we can do”

✨ Why there is always reason for hope

We also talk about faith, purpose, how God used my experience with fibromyalgia to reveal my calling... and how our hardest experiences can sometimes become part of how we serve others. 💜

Fibromyalgia can make it really hard to tell the difference between “not now” and “not anymore.”

Does “I can't do this right now” mean not today?
Not this year?
Not this way?
Never again?

When my fibromyalgia was at its worst, there were things I genuinely didn't know if I'd ever do again.

Riding on the back of Scott's Harley was one of them.

This photo of us was taken in 2007 — before my fibromyalgia got bad enough that I had to stop riding with him.

When something has been gone long enough, it's really easy to start thinking:

I guess this is just my life now. 🙄

But here's something I've learned...

You can honor what your body needs TODAY without deciding what your body will be capable of TOMORROW.

Those are two different things.

Maybe you can't do it right now.

That's enough information for today.

You don't have to turn “not right now” into “never again.”

You don't have to know what comes next or what your life will look like from here.

You can build a life that fits the body you have today...

without closing the door on what might be possible tomorrow. 💜⁣⁣⁣⁣

Sometimes it's not the idea that's wrong.

It's the timing.

In Dr. Robin's article this week, the tree in her backyard was pruned.

Nothing unusual about that. Trees get pruned all the time.

But cutting it back too far — at that particular moment — nearly killed it.

I think about this with fibromyalgia all the time.

Exercise is good for human bodies.

So is getting out of the house.

Building strength.

Changing habits.

Doing more of the things that matter to us.

But something can be a really good idea...

and still not be what your body needs RIGHT NOW.

One of the biggest questions in getting better is figuring out what needs your attention first — what will be most effective in this moment — and what can wait.

That's one of the reasons I created the Fibro Hierarchy of Needs℠.

It's designed to help you see where you are in your fibro journey, so you can better understand what your body needs right now — and what makes sense to focus on next. 💜

"The healing, the recovery, the path back to flourishing and reclaiming your life can get very interesting, very fun, very delightful."

— Dr. Robin Pfaff, Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®

Interesting. Fun. Delightful.

Not words most of us associate with healing and recovery. 🫣

When you're in the thick of it, getting better sounds like a full-time job.

Appointments.
Tracking.
Trying things.

Grieving what you used to be able to do. 💔

It's hard work — which can often feel joyless.

But that isn't how it has to be.

Somewhere along the way, you start noticing you slept better and you didn't do anything heroic to earn it.

You realize you're walking more because you can, not because it's on a list.

You say yes to something and it doesn't cost you three days.

You get curious about what your life could look like now instead of measuring it against what it was. 💜

Dr. Robin writes about this in her article this week, through the story of a tree she and her husband nearly killed — and what happened while they waited to find out which branches were still alive.

The grief is real. She doesn't skip past that.

And what comes after the grief can genuinely delight you.
